Thinking about summer almost always brings up the thought of vacation. As a child we were living on the East Coast of the U.S. and we always took our vacation on Cape Cod. I have special memories of deep pine forests, ice cream cones, long bike trails and hot sandy beaches that warmed my toes. As I embraced the business world, the lines of vacation became more blurred. During some years time became less available and resources were expended with careful choice. At the same time the need for rejuvenation still existed.  For me the most important thing has always been that I change my rhythm and pace so that I can begin to hear myself more deeply. This, for me, is the finest gift of a staycation or of a truly relaxing vacation.   Today with the world moving at such a quick pace, many of my friends and colleagues are reevaluating what they need in a vacation/staycation. For many this needs to be a block of time set aside for rejuvenation, contemplation and renewal. That is not to say that the traditional vacation luxury is to be discouraged. However, many people are being financially frugal or working more than they have in the past. So what’s a woman to do? What’s your plan for the summer?  What would be your version of an ideal staycation or vacation?   Join us for a wonderful staycation. Come to our summer Bubble Bath on June 23rd , June 30th and July 7th from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm Pacific Time. Read more about our Bubble Bath at www.theessentialfeminine.com . We are often overwhelmed by the world around us and wonder how we as individuals could make a difference. Our world isn’t the way we would like it to be; what can we do? I believe that the only true way to change the world around us is to change our inner world as it is reflected in what we attract from the outer world. I believe that, as Shakti Gawain said in her Reflections in the Light “When we trust and follow the energy of the universe within us, it leads us into the appropriate action for any given situation. It may lead us to speak or be silent, to move and dance or be still, to sing, shout, cry, or meditate. In interactions with others it may lead us to converse, to hug, to sit quietly together. The passion of life exists in all of these experiences and fulfillment comes from following and expressing this energy naturally, as we really need it.”
Once again we are at that time of year when we look back at the past and make resolutions about how we’d like to make changes in the New Year ahead. This is the perfect time to think about the inner resources that we naturally hold; such as a deep understanding of the whole, a natural ability for care and compassion, and a deep innate wisdom to be able to see through the outer surface of things. If we find ways to integrate these attributes into our lives in a way that enhances our personal power and our ability to pull from our own resources and depth, our lives would become more successful.
This is the topic of our first webinar of the New Year which is entitled, “Fully Showing Up in 2011: Alive Awake and Ready To Go”. For two hours on January 12th beginning at 12:00 noon, this webinar will support you to design your personal 2011 New Year Strategy.Ă‚Â
Life is rich if we embrace it with an open mind and an open heart. It’s our choice as to how we fill our waking hours. Make some choices about how you would like to create your life going forward. Join us for this exciting webinar and learn practical ways to bring energy, appropriate action and fulfillment into your 2011. Register for this exciting webinar at: http://teffullyshowingup.eventbrite.com

We often don’t take time to look at or think about how confident we are in our life, our life challenges and the world. Our confidence is rooted in many aspects of our lives. Some of these aspects include how we feel physically, how we look or feel we look, and how aligned our life is with a greater meaning or purpose.Ă‚Â
Our health: The quality of our health directly relates to the energy we have on a daily basis and how we feel over all.
Our physical appearance:  posture and how we show up in the world dictates how we are perceived and received. It is also a direct reflection, in many cases, as to how we feel about ourselves.Ă‚Â
The greater meaning and purpose that our life holds is also a key factor in building strong confidence – as when we have meaning in our lives our days become brighter, more alive and richer in all ways.Ă‚Â
Confidence as we can see is built from many different aspects of our life. I have recently re-ignited a yoga practice and have noticed how my posture has improved and how waling into a room I feel stronger, more upright and more confident. I also have been noticing the foods I put into my body and how specifically I feel after eating different foods. There is something very consistent about the buzz of sugar and the immediate bliss I receive but an hour later I can consistently count on a physiological dip. If you meet me during this dip and after not having stretched or loosened up the tightness in my body for some time, you would be meeting a less confident woman who carries herself differently In the world. Trust me, I have tested this correlation time and time again. I have come to realize that we cannot express next level confidence without looking at our bodies, our minds and our spirit. I recently heard Deepak Chopra give a talk on body mind medicine to about 2500 people in California. Not only are we interrelated on the global front through, commerce, our monetary system, the way that germs and epidemics travel but we are also interconnected within our own being. A truly confident woman gains strength from a fully respected, fully charged body from a mind that is clear and rested and a soul that is deeply expressed, in the way that she shows up contributes and lives in this world.
This month in the Essential Feminine Living Room we will be discussing next level confidence. We will look at the many components that go into a confident well-lived life. When you line up the different areas we will be looking at and incorporate them into your life you will have the opportunity to take your confidence to a whole new level. Check the blog each week in October as we will be adding more food for thought. Today, take a look at your life and decide of the areas we have covered, which ones you need to view more closely to gain far more confidence in your live. Join us on October 27 at noon PST for our next Living Room entitled: Taking Confidence to a Whole New Level for Big Time Life Payoffs.  Register now at: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/957535688 as we limit the available seats. There will be an opportunity for conversation and networking. Share the word.Ă‚Â

What does life look and feel like when you are living with highly intentionally with focus and power? Today we read so much about conscious living that the opportunity to look closely at these issues are readily available and provide us with insights that can totally change the quality of our lives. The world has caught on to the idea that when we choose to live with clear intention and place our focus on this intention our sense of power and overall quality of life excel.
What are the aspects of intentional living that we need to incorporate into our lives or be aware of on a daily basis? Intentional living begins with a connection to ourselves, our inner voice and our sense of knowing on a daily basis.  From this place of clarity and listening we begin to envision or become clear about what we want to create, be or contribute in a given day. This leads to a sense of focus and intention that allows us to both measure consciously the things that make up our days and lives, as well as to make choices to refine and improve the way we live.Ă‚Â
We often get a feeling that we are living our lives aligned with the things we love or not. We often get signs or hunches that lead us to information or help us clarify feelings. These are gifts and guides that we need to listen to daily. I suggest having time in the morning in quiet or in contemplation to review what the day could ideally hold.Ă‚Â
I have just started to look at some of the simple beginnings to creating a highly intentional, focused and powerful life. So many different components including deep inner connection, a clear sense of how we want to live our life (in all areas), a clear sense of what power and contribution meant to us – as they serve as driving forces and give us motivation to design an amazing life. This month we are going to look more closely at highly intentional living as I believe that many of us are clear that this is the only way to live. On September 22 at noon PST, we will be exploring this topic in The Essential Feminine™ Living Room and during the month of September we will be looking at the different components of an intentional life in our weekly blog. Stay tuned and join us in the Living Room. Please register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/861842960.

We are often overwhelmed by the world around us and wonder how we as individuals could make a difference. Our world isn’t the way we would like it to be; what can we do? I believe that the only true way to change the world around us is to change our inner world as it is reflected in what we attract from the outer world. As women we are fortunate to have powerful natural attributes and talents that can help us source success. We need to become aware of our attributes and give them the value they deserve in our lives so that they grow.Ă‚Â
Think about the inner resources that we naturally hold such as a deep understanding of the whole, a natural ability for care and compassion, and a deep innate wisdom to be able to see through the outer surface of things. If we find ways to integrate these into our lives in a way that enhances our personal power and our ability to pull from our own resources and depth our lives would become more successful (from the inside out).
The way that we do this is by creating a deep and meaningful inner life. When we come to realize that quiet contemplation is equal and more important than active doing, success and happiness takes on a new meaning.
How do we create our inner world so that it can be reflected in our outer world? Creating a daily practice is one way to create a strong connection between your outer world (desires and intentions) and your inner world (your contemplation, deep reflection and where you are “informed”). Some create a daily practice through claiming quiet time in the morning to re-group, set intentions and gather themselves together before facing the busy day. This allows for an opportunity to start the day with clarity and intention. It’s also useful to clear time in the evening before closing your eyes from the day’s busyness to set intentions for the next day or even for a good night’s sleep. It’s not so important what the specific practice is as long as it aligns with your values and beliefs and feeds your soul, providing you with a chance for renewal and conscious choice about your life. Life is rich if we embrace it with an open mind and an open heart. It’s our choice as to how we fill our waking hours. Make some choices about how you would like to create your inner and outer life alignment going forward. Join us for more discussion on this exciting topic on August 25th at The Essential Feminine Living Room. We will be joined by Camille Maurine, an internationally renowned creator of the transformational Moving Theater process and author of Meditation Secrets for Women and Meditation 24/7. Please register for this complimentary webinar at:  https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/987535361

Did you ever wonder how outer success comes about? You may remember last month we focused our blogs and The Essential Feminine Living Room on the topic of Feminine Abundance. This month we are turning our attention to how our inner life informs and supplies our outer life. When we say inner life, we understand that this can mean different things to different people, cultures, and ways of life. No matter where you are or what you believe there is a universal truth that when we connect to our visions, intentions and deepest desires from a place of quiet, stillness and inner reflection the outcome is more balanced, harmonious and often more successful.Ă‚Â
Traditions around the globe have valued the art of contemplation for thousands of years. For when we have the ability to connect in, listen from within and lead and live from within riches abound. The idea that quieting the mind leads to a quiet and replenished central nervous system has been proven time and time again from scientific research on meditation to the hundreds and thousands of people now prioritizing a practice of contemplation and stillness in their lives. There is a great interest in stillness and in developing our inner connection because the world has become fast and for many, out of control. The respite of a practice that guides us to connect deep within our self informs our sense of surety when we are making decisions as our level of clarity is greatly increased.
Do you have a practice for contemplation through your faith, personal inquiry or community? Can it be richer, more committed, more focused? Do you need support in beginning or creating a deeper, richer practice? If so, you are in luck. This month we will be discussing our inner life and outer success and on August 25th we will be joined in The Essential Feminine Company’s Living Room by Camille Maurine, a renowned teacher and author of a fabulous book entitled “Meditation For Women”. I have known Camille for many years and have had the pleasure of facilitating women’s groups with her in Los Angeles. She will show you simplistic ways to practice, still the mind and open new opportunities for you throughout the day. She’s a master and lots of fun. Join us on …. “Things do not change; we change” Henry David Thoreau
When I think of change and growth, I have been asking myself what lesson am I to gain from this good or bad experience. I have been linking in my mind the words, change, choice and consciousness. I made a decision this year to listen very closely to learn more about the true reason that I am here. I have come to realize that it is for the purpose of seeing equity in our world, exploring my life and looking for areas where more truth can be revealed and to share in the raising of consciousness in my life with all lives that I touch. I learn so much from every life that touches mine.
Conscious change is the topic I’ve been exploring this month. As you may know, we will be covering this in The Essential Feminine Living Room on June 23 at Noon PST (https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/161980817). I am now spending part of my morning to align my day with these three primary objectives that my life holds. Since I began this practice, I began to see my life become richer and more meaningful. A couple of things that you may want to keep in mind as you start your day include:
Why am I here? For what greater purpose am I on this planet? (I believe we are all here for a reason. Explore yours.  “
What change do I need to make today to line my life up with this purpose (or purposes)?
Join us for The Essential Feminine Living Room (https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/161980817 )for more discussions with women around the world.

Ă‚Â
Each day we women make choices that affect the lives of millions. It’s time to realize our impact on the world and to claim our role in the significant impact we are making. Only, when we claim with strength the power we hold, will we be able to fully live this power in the world. Sometimes I think others believe more deeply in us than we do in ourselves.
We women deliver so many riches and gems to the world daily and I don’t just mean the midwives. We deliver joy and hope, protection, care and compassion, intelligent solutions, nurturance and deep relationship building. For years I’ve been closely watching how CARE, The Hunger Project and Women Deliver have chosen to invest strongly into women and families.  For years the Grameen Foundation,  as well as others, have invested microfinance funds in women with a 97% average return on their loans. Women are concerned to see prosperity, good health and hope readily shared, as we are the ones who birth life.Ă‚Â
It’s now time to evaluate the choices we are making in our own lives that lead us to be the most we can be.Ă‚Â
In the upcoming June Essential Feminine Living Room we will be discussing Conscious Choices – The Golden Key to Success. Join us Wed, Jun 23, 2010 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM PDT. Register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/1619800817    ÂÂ

June 8th, 2010
We are all working to achieve a life well lived. Be it in the work we do, the contribution we make, or the legacy we leave behind. We are all at different stages of life, many, with different objectives.  Consciousness begins by developing our ability to clearly hear the messages that come to us from within. Some messages give us information like a basic hunch, some like a lightning bolt some like an epiphany or a wake-up call. Our ability to listen to these messages and to integrate them into our actions provides us with a basis for conscious living. If we could entertain the thought that our “self” has a higher place where it operates we could begin to experience a greater flow in our lives. It is my belief that my higher self is consistently sending me suggestions and ideas that link me to the greater purpose of my life. Sometimes these suggestions are very subtle but when I listen and follow this guidance I notice that fascinating changes occur that inform me how to use my skills resources and capabilities. It is in the quiet moments when I move away from busyness that this, critical information is revealed to me.
“At any moment, I could start being a better person, but which moment should I choose?” Ashleigh Brilliant
So how does all of this relate to Conscious Choices? Try this.  Start today by noticing the guidance that may be coming through daily that maybe you didn’t notice yesterday. Clearly listen to any messages that come from within. Notice if you sense a driving power or informing sense guiding you. If so, be sure to listen and use the information that you are given. Allow yourself to screen things that may be imposed by the busy mind. This stage requi res discretion. Make choices that incorporate both your inner sense of knowing and you rational mind.Ă‚Â
